As a Christian, I am not asking that Intelligent Design/Creation be taught as fact in public schools, only that it be given it's right as a Scientific Theory and that Evolution not be taught as fact. Now don't get me wrong, I do believe in Micro-Evolution. There is no other way to describe differences among a species. Mutations occur, I'm not denying that. Mutations along with Natural Selection lead to genetic drifts. Sepparation of one species into multiple ecosystems has lead to genetic varriations, but they are still one species. Different as they are they have not become a different species.
Take the salinity of the ocean. It is on average 3.5% Salt to water which is the same as that of the human body. If it was 2% there would be no life on planet Earth, or if it was 5%, there would be no life on planet Earth. Also, the oxygen level of 21%. If it were 25% there would be no life on planet Earth, or if it were 19%, there would be no life on planet Earth. There are hundreds of these "dials" that if they are not calibrated correctly the would be no life on planet Earth. It only requires that one be off for the exsistance of life to be impossible. Maybe we got lucky.
The most basic teaching of Biology and the first thing that is taught to High School Freshmen is that life comes from life. Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Nitrogen, these are the four major elements of all life and were believed to be in abundance at the beginning of life here on Earth. There is no life in Carbon. There is no life in Hydrogen. There is no life in Oxygen. There is no life in Nitrogen. These, combined with lightning is the Scientifical Explination of the beginning of life. How then can the Evolution of the Beginning of Life be taught as a theory if it does not stand up to the simplest of tests? How did life come from nothing? This test has been repeated in labs and not once has any lifeform ever been created.
I have just one more question for the evolutionists. Where are the transition species now? Scientists can put bones together however they want to prove whatever they want, but if evolution of one species to another actually occured, why is it no longer occuring? Why are there still primative species?
The Scientific Explination to Intelligent Design is there, why can't it be taught as such a Theory?

Raise Teacher Salaries, Fire the Rest
This idea is genious. The idea to get rid of supporting administrative staff is long overdue. Many schools are creating more and more of these types of positions such as secretary to the assistant principal or receptionist to the counselor. The point of a school is to educate and it is now being run like a business. There are hired, paid positions in charge of managing money and the childrens attendance and test scores. There are faculty members who go from room to room to collect information from the teachers instead of having the teachers bring it themselves. Not only is this a waste of money, not to mention space as each on of these 'administrative' positions is usually granted an office, but it frustrates the teachers. They should be valued as the most important part of the school system but instead they are considered to be beneath anyone hired as administration. They have to take orders from so many people and need permission from each of them to do things. I beleive that many public schools should start doing this same thing, get rid of the administrative staff and let the teachers get a raise and some dignity and the teacher shortage will end quickly.
Death Penalty for Non Murder Cases
In response to a case of Louisiana man Patrick Kennedy who raped his 8 year old stepdaughter, the Supreme Court is considering whether or not to declare the death penalty unconstitutional for child rape cases. The judges are divided on this and there seems to be no middle ground, they are either for the idea or completely against it. Some of the judges, such as Justices Roberts, Scalia and Alito are for the death penalty and have made comments suggesting the heinousness of a child rape crime is at least equivalent to that of murder. Other Justices such as Stephen Breyer and John Paul Stevens think differently. Breyer stated, "I'm not a moralist. I'm a judge. As a judge, I look at the law. It seems for 43 years, no one has been executed but for murder." Which seems like a pointless argument, of course no one has been executed for anything else, it wasn’t until recently that this was even considered.
Kennedy's lawyer, Jeffrey L. Fisher, believes that if the death penalty is approved as a punishment for child rape that soon it will be pushed to be approved for other non murder cases and there will be no stopping it. This is an exaggeration as it has taken nearly 50 years for the death penalty to be considered for anything other than murder or treason and any steps taken will be small and slow. Additionally, child rape is a crime unlike many others. In comparison to adult rape for instance, child rape can never be claimed to have been consensual or a misunderstanding of boundaries or if someone did or did not say ‘no”. Child rape is always wrong and always premeditated. If any crime is to be considered for the death penalty, this is it.

So Your Babysitter is a Sex Offender...
Nearly 50 sex offenders in California were found to be living at addresses listed as child care facilites. An audit done recently found that 49 registered sex offenders were listed at residences of 46 licensed child care centers. The facilites are being inspected and 9 have been confirmed as both child care centers and residences of sex offenders and six more are suspected and two foster children have been removed from a home. Thankfully there have been no reports from children interviewed of any abuse and many of the 49 locations were found to be lacking either sex offenders or children. Although the situation did not turn out as tragically as it could have, it is ridiculous that this even occurred. All of the sex offenders were registered and the child care centers licensed and still this happened. It seems impossible that in one area of one state that that many instances were overlooked. Sex offenders are registered specifically so that they are kept at a safe distance from children, schools, playgrounds, child care centers, etc. And child care centers require licenses and background checks to prevent situations that could result in the neglect or abuse of a child. So whether it is on the end of the child care licensers or those in charge of keeping up with sex offenders, someone is slacking and this is a serious situation.
Worthless Dollar
The U.S. dollar has once again dropped in value due to European inflation. The ever reaching gap in the dollar compared to the euro, pound and yen is rendering American money more and more worthless overseas. Just recently the euro jumped to $1.5982, the British pound reached $1.9771 from $1.9708, and the dollar is now worth only 101.96 Japanese yen compared to 102.04 yen. As the interest rates in Europe climb to 3.6%, the United States Federal Reserve is cutting back rates due to the housing slump. Europe's high rates are intended to work against inflation and help the economy reach a settling point whereas the lowering U.S. rates are meant to weigh on the dollar so that when trades are made with other countries, the traders get better returns. Hopefully the aims at correcting the changes in the economy will pull through as the country is still fearful of the direction it is headed. The noticeable difference in the American and European economies makes one wish for relatives or friends overseas who could maybe purchase a gallon of milk that wouldn't cost $5 or fill up their car with gas for less than $50.
Jesus Removed from Courthouse
A portrait of Jesus Christ was removed from a Louisiana court house when it was declared unconstitutional. Apparently, Jesus is allowed to appear in a portrait with other historic figures but is not allowed to appear solo. Oddly, although he is referred to as simply a 'historic figure' he is the only historic figure who cannot stand alone in a picture that is to be displayed in a government building. Judge Ivan Lemelle claimed that, ""Context" is the "crucial factor" in determining if a religious display is unconstitutional." The portrait had originally hung alone above the words "To Know Peace, Obey These Laws," and Lemelle stated that this portrayed a religious message, thus making it unconstitutional. A courthouse in Texas constitutionally displayed the 10 commandments because there were other historical markers present as well, however the 10 commandments displayed in a Kentucky courthouse were ruled unconstitutional. It seems that there is an easy way to avoid this confrontation and just be sure to keep any religious symbol or icon surrounded with other non-religious things.

Playing the Pimp
In a sad attempt to draw more attention to themselves, the Clinton's have threatened to boycott NBC debates for an inappropriate suggestion made about Hillary's daughter Chelsea. An NBC anchor made a comment about Chelsea Clinton being 'pimped out' in reference to her making phone calls to gain support for her mother's campaign. Although that is ridiculous and he should not have said it, it hardly needed to gain any more media attention. The Clinton's are all over the news anyway, there is really no need to bring every little issue to the eyes of the public. The anchor should not have said it and after he did it did not need to be dwelled on. Chelsea is in no way being 'pimped', any supportive child would want to help their parent and the Clinton's have enough attention on them without seeking it out and making a big deal out of something trivial, the boycott is completely unnecessary.
